Legacy Bride: Taylor in the Riviera Gown at Magnolia Manor in Westminster, SC Wedding

Taylor and Michael were married at The Magnolia Manor in Westminster, SC in May 2021. It was such a sweet spring day with their closest family and friends. Taylor is a friend of Allie’s from church and they’d been looking forward to Michael’s proposal. Michael proposed Valentine's weekend 2020 and it was time to finally start wedding planning. While we obviously love Taylor's dress (the Riviera), we are also obsessed with her long braid and pearls (Katey can you come do our hair like this every day), and just wait until you see Michael's reaction to her when she walked down the aisle! Not a dry eye was seen!

Taylor’s Wedding Dress Shopping Experience at Katharine Marie Weddings

Taylor popped into the store briefly after getting engaged to take a peek while she planned a time for her mom to come down from Maryland. They picked a date in June and we had the best time! Here’s what Taylor has to say: “My favorite part of [wedding dress] shopping at Katharine Marie Weddings was the dress selection! Every dress is adorable and [they have a] variety of styles, but not too many to look through where it can be overwhelming (which I can imagine would have happened going to a "big box" store). Also, can't express my gratitude for having one-on-one attention from Allie in the store while I tried on dresses.”There were a few dresses that I really really liked. Riviera was the last dress I tried on. I didn't pick it out, my sister-in-law saw it and picked it out for me. It looked so much different once I put it on. Honestly, it was the combination of volume and lightness of the dress that won me over!”

How Taylor Felt on Her Wedding Day

Our wedding day was so wonderful! The most memorable moment for me would be when I met my dad at the end of the aisle and saw Michael waiting me for me, already crying. I have never felt so grateful in my life. I was being handed from one amazing man to another. There are so many other memorable moments to mention; all including being surrounded by so much love from friends and family.

Taylor’s Advice for Other Brides

My advice for future brides is to not lose sight of the reason for the day. There is no perfect dress, beautiful cake, expensive venue, highly recommended photographer, and any other worldly possession that I would had traded on our wedding day because it couldn't have replaced having our friends and family there showering us with love and breathing life into our marriage. If your relationship with your husband is not being built on a rock, then any hiccup during the wedding day will cause your happiness to slip away as fast as sand. Our wedding day had many hiccups and was no where near perfect from my planning and hard work from before the wedding. However, at the end of the day, none of those mishaps have a hold on our marriage. Guess what? None of my guest even noticed the hiccups. The most moment that my guests have talked to me about post-wedding is how they couldn't look at Michael because he was making them cry.
